West End

The West End of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada is on the downtown peninsula neighbouring Stanley Park and the areas of Yaletown, Coal Harbour and the downtown financial and central business districts.

The definition of the "official neighbourhood" of the West End, according to the city, is the area west of Burrard Street, east of Denman Street, and south of West Georgia Street.

The West End has evolved into one of Vancouver’s most diverse and iconic neighbourhoods. As Vancouver’s first high rise community, the West End’s proximity to downtown, English Bay and Stanley Park make the area desirable for residents and visitors alike. Today’s West End is home to Vancouver’s Gay Village and a compelling mix of locally-owned shops, restaurants, and nightclubs. The West End’s three great commercial streets draw visitors into one amazing neighbourhood.
