Personal interests and hobbies include sailing, traveling, skiing, scuba diving, as well as a strong love for horses. He competed on the "A" Cutting Horse circuit and won several championship buckles at both the Canadian and Provincial levels. Highlights included the 2000 Western Regional $10,000 NON-PRO CHAMPION, 1999 CANADIAN $5000 CHAMPION. As well as a not so successful but fun, Calgary Stampede and shot at the USA Western Regional Championships.
Mark recently crewed/sailed for 3 weeks with the 2008 Around North America Expedition aimed at bringing awarness to Global Warming.
